DISCOVER VILLA ARNAGA
The Collections
d'arnaga
The Arnaga collections offer a fascinating journey through art in all its forms, highlighting the world of Edmond Rostand, his wife Rosemonde Gérard, their two children, Maurice and Jean, as well as the Villa Arnaga.
A rich collection of photographs tracing the personalities linked to Arnaga and the life led at the estate, as well as paintings and graphic arts that illustrate the beauty of the place, are part of the holdings.
The drawings and works also include a unique series of sketches and plans, notably the many drawings made by Edmond Rostand himself, depicting the different rooms of the villa and its exteriors.
The collection also includes manuscripts, bringing together documents from Edmond Rostand, his family, and his friends, offering an intimate glimpse into their lives and creative processes. Edmond Rostand's letters, the personal correspondence of the three other family members, and the newspapers and magazines devoted to them form an important part of the Villa Arnaga archives.
Documents and books complement the collections, which allow for a better understanding of the members of the Rostand family and their works.
Finally, theatrical costumes and other three-dimensional objects (furniture, lace, accessories…) are part of the museum’s collections.
