The permanent exhibition at Villa Arnaga invites visitors to a true immersion in
heart of the Belle Époque, in the refined and modern universe imagined by Edmond Rostand.
More than just a writer's residence, Arnaga is a complete work of art, conceived as a
An artistic manifesto and a way of life.


From the moment you enter, the route recreates the atmosphere of the 1900s, marked by creative energy
and technological advances. The house, surprisingly modern for its time, was equipped
central heating, electricity and sophisticated bathrooms — symbols of a
an era focused on innovation and comfort. This modernity is combined with the richness of
Interior decor: elegant woodwork, luminous frescoes, precious textiles and furniture
custom-designed pieces form a harmonious whole.


Each room evokes the social and intellectual life of the Rostand family. The salons bear witness
of a lavish art of entertaining, while the more intimate spaces evoke the atmosphere of
the playwright's creation and Rosemonde Gérard's essential place in artistic life and
socialite of the couple.


The gardens, designed as a natural extension of the villa, fully contribute to this
Immersion. Between French and English gardens, perspectives and water features
reflect the Belle Époque's taste for staging, elegance and harmony.
